The DILG-ARMM thru its Regional Information Officer attended the Participatory Planning and Capacity Development (PPCD) Workshop for the Cotabato City Roadshow, as part of the IOM X Campaign. The workshop was conducted on 1-2 June 2016 in Pagana Kutawato, Cotabato City.
Also present in the activity were, to wit: (1) representative from the distinct offices of ARMM, Cotabato City and national, the RPDO, DSWD, BPI, PNP Women and Children Protection Desk, IACAT, the DepEd-Cotabato City Division, the DOJ and CFO; (2) the Local Government Unit, the PPO-Maguindanao and Maguindanao Speaker’s Bureau; (3) the local media representative from DXUP Teleradyo; (4) the students from the academe, Notre Dame University and the Cotabato City State Polytechnic College; (5) the OGVP, USAID Regional Development Mission for Asia, and IOM staff.
IOM X is a regional project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is implemented under the auspices of the regional office in Bangkok. IOM X is IOM’s innovative campaign to encourage safe migration and public action to stop human trafficking.
The Cotabato Roadshow will consist of a series of activities to create community-driven media materials and design and implement outreach activities. This workshop is the first of the Roadshow activities and it will bring together participants from the government, civil society and the private sector to determine the focus of the materials that will be developed and distributed, based on local trafficking trends and using a Communication for Development/Behaviour Change Communication approach.
